Legal framework
Wyoming does not provide a single comprehensive statute governing gestational-surrogacy eligibility, agreement requirements, compensation, parentage, and birth records.
Parentage procedure
The appropriate parentage filing, timing, jurisdiction, and required documentation should be confirmed with Wyoming reproductive counsel for the specific case. This guide does not assume that a pre-birth order is routinely available or guaranteed.
Agreement review
The agreement should address compensation and expenses, insurance, medical decision-making, legal costs, dispute procedures, and parentage planning. The surrogate remains the patient and retains authority over her own medical care.
No county, family-structure, or cross-border ranking
This guide does not rank Wyoming counties, assign legal scores by family structure, or recommend delivery in Colorado or another state as a default solution. Any cross-border plan can affect jurisdiction and procedure and must be evaluated for the specific parties and facts.
